Dear Radio Amateurs,

OM / YL / Clubs / Groups !

The Board of the CWJF GROUP is pleased to inform you that the result of the CQMM DX CONTEST / 2022  is already available on our website ( see at the end of this comment ).

For the third consecutive year, we surpassed the mark of  1,800 LOGs received  and we have an audacious objective to be reached this year: to receive 2,000 LOGs

Congratulations  to  all  1823  participants  from  114  different  countries  valid  according  to  the  updated  DXCC  list,   who   sent   their  LOGs  and participated in this contest sponsored by the CWJF GROUP, which was founded in 1985 and is close to completing  40  years  dedicated  to  promoting    and encouraging art from the CW.

We  are  very  pleased  with  the  worldwide  growth  that  the  CQMM DX CONTEST  has been conquering in each new edition.  And all of you who have participated one or more times in our contest, are certainly the reason for our great success. And you who never participated in our contest, we would like to deserve the honor of your first participation in this great CW worldwide party, which we held in April.

The  2022  result  shows  that  29  new  records  were  achieved,  6  of  which are new world records and 23 new continental records. These numbers proves the consistent growth we are achieving in the international community.

In the CQMM DX CONTEST / 2022 we would like to mention 6 stations that had a high profile participation:

ZW5B ( Op: Rafael – PY2NDX ): set a new world record in the SO / ST / AB / HP category, by surpassing the previous record by almost 1 million points.

FY5KE ( Op: Laurent – F6FVY ): set a new world record in the SO / SB / 15M / HP category ( it was the oldest world record in the race, which had been set in 2011 ) and even more than doubled the score of the previous record.

ZZ5K ( Op: Mark – PP5RT ): it surpassed the world record in the  SO / SB / 10M / LP category  by more than 300%, knowing how to take  advantage  of    the excellent propagation opening that has been verified mainly in the 10 meters and 15 meters, which favored the increase in the number of contacts between all continents.

HA5YG ( YL Gabi ) : surpassed the previous world record among YL stations by more than 50% and approached 1 million points.

CN8KD ( Op: Mohamed – SK ): surpassed the continental record ( AF ) in the  SO / SB / 20M / HP  category  by  almost 500%, and now it becomes the holder  of the 2 records in this band ( HP and LP ) in the African continent.

UN4L ( Op: Nick ): surpassed the continental record ( AS ) in the SO / SB / 15M / LP category with a giant leap, whose previous record was 3,458 points and now went to 214,544 points, with more than 6,000% growth .

Finally,  the oldest world record of the CQMM DX CONTEST,  which  had  been  achieved  in  our  first  contest  held in 2011, was surpassed. This world record was for the SO / SB / 15M / HP category and belonged to the PW2D station ( current – SM2U ).

Now  the  oldest  world  record  of  CQMM DX CONTEST,  it is  SO / SB / 10M / HP category,  achieved  in  2014 and which also belongs to  PW2D  station ( current – SM2U ).

Another  joy  that  we  had  this  year  was  having  the  confirmation  for  the  second  consecutive  year,  of  the  receipt  of  more  than  100  LOGs  of the QRP category and 26 LOGs received from the YL stations. We  noticed  that  with  each  new  contest,  new QRP and YL  stations are participating for the first time, which represents another great joy for us, organizers.

We make a point of emphasizing once again, with each new publication of the result, that the growing support that we continue to receive from amateur radio stations, clubs and groups in our country and also from several other countries that are located in the 6 different continents,  is  very  important for these records to continue being achieved. Without this support, perhaps we would not have come this far, achieving these successes that have been repeated every year.

Dear  ham  radio  who  is  reading  this  opening  text  of  the  result  of  the  CQMM  DX  CONTEST / 2022  and  who  participated  last  year,  we  renew  our thanks for the valuable participation and we hope that you participate again in 2023 contest,  and for you ham radio who for some reason did not participate in 2022  and intends to participate in 2023,  and those who will participate for the first time in the contest,  know that it will be a great honor for the organizers and certainly for all other participants.

We take this opportunity to request your collaboration to help us spread the result  among hams, clubs and groups in your country,  and in this way you will also be helping us to awaken the interest of possible new participants in this year’s contest.
